音楽や芸術にまつわる3級レベルの語彙を学びます。楽器・ジャンル・作品を表す表現を押さえ、趣味や感想を英語で語る力が身につきます。
コア意味と使い方
melody は「旋律」、rhythm は「リズム」（綴りに母音が少ないので注意）。
band は「バンド」、concert は「コンサート」で at the concert / go to a concert の形。
audience は「観客（全体）」を表す集合名詞で、人数を言うときは a large audience（多くの観客）とし、many audiences とは言いません。
使い方 —楽器と演奏
楽器を演奏するときは play the piano のように the を付けます。
「〜が得意」は be good at 〜ing。
コンサートの感想は The concert was great. のように過去形で述べます。
つまずきやすい所
○ There was a large audience.
✗ There were many audiences.
audience は集合名詞。人数の多さは large で表す。
○ I play the guitar in a band.
✗ I play guitar in a band.
楽器には the を付ける。
○ She is good at singing.
✗ She is good at sing.
前置詞 at の後ろは -ing。
audience の数え方と楽器の the。この2点が芸術トピックの定番ミスです。
