比較級と最上級の作り方を4級レベルで基礎から学びます。-er/-est や more/most の使い分け、than との組み合わせを理解し、ものを比べる文が自在に作れます。
ルール —語の長さで決まる
短い語は -er / -est（tall → taller → tallest）、長い語は more / most（beautiful → more beautiful → most beautiful）。
y で終わる語は y → i（easy → easier）、短母音＋子音1つは子音重ね（big → bigger）。
good → better → best は不規則です。
使い方 —than と the
比較級には than（〜より）、最上級には the を付けます（the tallest）。
範囲は in（in my class）と of（of the three）を使い分けます。
「〜と同じくらい」は as ... as で原級を挟みます。
つまずきやすい所
○ Tom is taller than Ken.
✗ Tom is more taller than Ken.
-er と more を重ねない。
○ This is the biggest dog.
✗ This is biggest dog.
最上級には the。
○ as tall as
✗ as taller as
as 〜 as の間は原級。
語の長さで形を選び、than と the を落とさない。これで比較は完成です。
