hospital / library / station / park / store / after school。町の場所を表す語です。the を付ける場所と付けない場所の区別が要点です。
コア意味と使い方
ふつうは go to the library / go to the station のように the を付けます。
ただし go to school / go to bed のように「その活動をする」意味では the を付けません。
after school（放課後）は決まった言い方で、the も付けず2語で書きます。
使い方 —場所をたずねる Where is 〜?
Where is the station? — It is near the park. のように near（〜の近くに）/ next to（〜のとなりに）/ in front of（〜の前に）で位置を答えます。
「どうやって行くか」は How can I get to the station? が定番です。
