Our New Family Member Last month, my family went to the animal shelter and brought home a small brown dog. We named him Cookie because his fur is the color of a chocolate cookie. Cookie is two years old. The people at the shelter said he came from a family that moved to another country. He was a little shy on the first day, but now he is very happy and friendly. Every morning before school, I take Cookie for a walk in the park. He loves to run after butterflies and play with other dogs. My little brother feeds him every evening. Cookie also likes to sleep on the sofa next to my father when he watches TV. My mother sometimes says that Cookie has too much hair on the sofa, but she smiles when she says it. I am so glad we have Cookie. He is the best dog in the world.
