both…and / either…or / not only…but also といった相関接続詞の組み合わせと語順を体系的に学びます。準1級で問われる呼応のルールと倒置を整理し、書き言葉でも崩れない正確な文構造が身につきます。
動詞の一致は型で決まる
both A and B が主語なら動詞は必ず複数。
either A or B / neither A nor B は近い方（B）に一致させます（近接の原則）。
not only A but also B も B に一致します。
neither A nor B は語自体が否定なので、動詞をさらに否定形にしません。
使い方 —文頭の not only は倒置、A と B は品詞を揃える
Not only を文頭に出すと主節が倒置します（Not only did she break the record, but she also inspired …）。
また相関接続詞が結ぶ A と B は同じ品詞・同じ形にそろえます（parallelism）。
not only to run but also to swim のように to 不定詞なら両方 to 不定詞にします。
as well as は前の要素が主役なので一致は A 側です。
つまずきやすい所
○ Neither the customers nor the staff agrees.
✗ Neither the customers nor the staff doesn't agree.
neither … nor 自体が否定。否定を重ねない。
○ Not only did she break the record, but …
✗ Not only she broke the record, but …
文頭の Not only は倒置を起こす。
○ not only to run but also to swim
✗ not only to run but also swimming
A と B は同じ形にそろえる（parallelism）。
相関接続詞は一致・倒置・並列の3点セットで覚えます。近接の原則が判定の軸です。
