思考実験が「仕様」になるということ
What was once a seminar puzzle has become an engineering specification, because someone, somewhere, must write the lines of code that govern the car's response.（かつての演習問題が技術仕様になった。誰かがコードを書かねばならないからだ）が論の転回点です。
Moral Machine は数十か国から数百万の判断を集め、a troubling lack of consensus（合意の欠如）を明らかにしました。
「過大視」という反論と、それでも残るもの
Some ethicists argue that the dilemma is overstated, since such no-win scenarios are vanishingly rare and the overwhelming benefit lies in the accidents prevented（そうした場面は極めてまれで、利益は防がれた事故にある）。
筆者は They may be right about the numbers.（数字については正しいかもしれない）と認めつつ、But the discomfort lingers（それでも不快さは残る）と、事前に道徳の優先順位を機械に刻む点を問題にします。
