形容詞＋前置詞

形容詞ごとに決まった前置詞が付きます。理屈で導けないので組み合わせで覚えるしかなく、空所補充で最も出る領域です。
ルール —形容詞と前置詞は組みで決まっている
afraid of / interested in / proud of / good at / famous for のように、形容詞ごとに前置詞が固定されています。
前置詞の後ろは名詞または動名詞（-ing）で、to 不定詞は置けません（× interested in to read）。
使い方 —famous for と famous as を区別する
famous for its temples（何で有名か＝理由）と famous as a writer（何として有名か＝肩書き）で意味が変わります。
同様に good at（能力）↔ good for（有益）、afraid of（恐れる対象）↔ afraid to V（〜するのが怖い）も区別します。
つまずきやすい所
○ interested in reading

前置詞の後ろは動名詞。
○ famous for its temples
✗ famous as its temples
理由は for、肩書きは as。
○ different from
✗ different than（英式の文脈で）
標準は from。
組み合わせで覚え、for と as の違いを押さえる。後ろは -ing が鉄則です。
