コア意味と使い方
species は「種」で単数・複数が同形（a species / many species）。
endangered は「絶滅の危機にある」で an endangered species。
extinct は「絶滅した」で become extinct（絶滅する）。
habitat は「生息地」、wildlife は不可算で「野生生物」です。
使い方 —原因と対策の型
原因は because of / due to（森林破壊 deforestation、気候変動 climate change）、対策は protect / save / create a park などで表します。

species は単数でも -s。specie という形は使わない。

extinct は形容詞。become extinct の形にする。

✗ They lost their habitat because of build houses.
because of の後ろは名詞。文なら because。
