3級レベルの比較や選択に関する語彙を学びます。ものごとを比べたり決めたりする場面で使う単語を、会話や作文で使いこなせるようになります。
コア意味と使い方
similar は「似ている」で be similar to 〜、same は「同じ」で the same as 〜（the が必須）。
popular は「人気のある」で be popular with / among 〜、famous は「有名な」で be famous for（〜で有名）/ be famous as（〜として有名）。
important は「重要な」で It is important to V の形が定番です。
使い分け —famous for と famous as
famous for は「〜（の特徴）で有名」、famous as は「〜（の立場）として有名」です。
Kyoto is famous for its temples.（寺で有名）と He is famous as a singer.（歌手として有名）を対で覚えます。
つまずきやすい所
○ My bag is similar to yours.
✗ My bag is similar with yours.
similar は to をとる。
○ I have the same bag as you.
✗ I have same bag as you.
same には the が必要。
○ Kyoto is famous for its temples.
✗ Kyoto is famous as its temples.
特徴で有名なら for。as は立場。
語と前置詞をペアで固定して覚えるのが最短。the same as の the も忘れないこと。
