量や程度を表す3級レベルの語彙を学びます。many/much/a lot of/veryなどの使い分けを整理し、数や程度を正しく英語で表現できる基礎力を身につけます。
コア意味と使い方
both は「両方とも」で複数扱い、either は「どちらか一方」で単数扱い、neither は「どちらも〜ない」で単数扱いです。
enough は「十分な」で名詞の前・形容詞の後ろに置き、plenty of は「たくさんの」で可算・不可算どちらにも使えます。
使い方 —enough の位置
enough は名詞の前（enough money）、形容詞・副詞の後ろ（big enough / fast enough）に置きます。
この位置の違いが並べ替え問題で問われます。
つまずきやすい所
○ He is old enough to drive.
✗ He is enough old to drive.
形容詞の後ろに enough を置く。
○ Both of them are kind.
✗ Both of them is kind.
both は複数扱い。
○ I have plenty of information.
✗ I have plenty of informations.
information は不可算。plenty of の後でも複数形にしない。
数の扱い（both は複数、either/neither は単数）と enough の位置が得点源です。
