grasping it requires setting aside the seductive but misleading image of a computer that simply "tries every answer at once."(「一度にすべての答えを試す計算機」という魅力的だが誤解を招く像を捨てる必要がある)が読解の鍵です。
Crucially, however, the answer is not simply read off.(答えは単に読み出せるのではない)で、誤答が打ち消し合うよう振り付ける技術が要ると説明されます。
Qubits lose their quantum character within fractions of a second … so most of a machine's capacity is consumed correcting its own errors rather than computing.(量子性は一瞬で失われ、装置の容量の大半は誤り訂正に費われる)。
実用機は if they arrive at all, are probably a decade away(そもそも到来するとしても十年先)。
結論は quantum computing will not replace your laptop; it will, in a handful of specialised domains, do things no laptop ever could.
a narrow class of problems。
seductive but misleading image。
if they arrive at all。
