so that / in order to / so as to で目的を、so ... that / such ... that で結果を表します。目的は so that ＋ can、結果は so ＋ 形容詞 ＋ that ━ 後ろに来る形で見分けます。
ルール —目的は節か不定詞、結果は so / such
目的は so that ＋ 主語 ＋ can / will / may（節）、または in order to / so as to / to ＋ 原形（不定詞）。
結果は so ＋ 形容詞・副詞 ＋ that、such ＋ (a) ＋ 形容詞 ＋ 名詞 ＋ that です。
使い方 —否定の目的は so as not to / in order not to
「〜しないように」は so as not to ＋ 原形 / in order not to ＋ 原形 と、not を to の前に置きます。
目的の主語が主節と違うときは so that 節を使います（不定詞は主語が同じときのみ）。
つまずきやすい所

名詞句を強めるのは such。
○ so that everyone could understand

主節が過去なら助動詞も過去形。
目的と結果を形で分け、such と so の使い分けを押さえます。
